I have images on a server that are under a parent folder and subfolders on a server at a remote office.  I am copying the db of the images to the main office and want to also copy the images from the remote office to the main office.  I only want the new and/or newer files.  I have an xcopy running currently, but it takes a long time to finish.  I guess it has to compare every single file and it has thousands of files to compare and the 2 locations are in 2 different offices(connected via vpn tunnel).  What would be the most efficient way to compare every file and then copy the newer files and folders/subfolders to the main office?

Have you tried RoboCopy?  It's part of the Win2k3 resource kit and comes with Vista.
