Will VBScript be replaced by a new shell (code name Monad) which can perform much more advanced tasks than VBScript ? Any thoughts ? Thanks. WM

I highly doubt it. And I don't see it as doing more "advanced tasks" either. It focuses more on low level command line based activities. Which means, as I've seen thus far, all input and output is text based. So I believe it is best viewed as another screwdriver in the toolbox instead of a swiss army knife.

It's an eventuality; just like anything in the IT field. But I wouldn't worry too much about it since it is still years ahead :)

Thank you for your responses. I contacted Microsoft and they said that VBScript will stay; the only problem they are having now is how to connect MSH and VBScript. WM
