3 request to do scripting today without any effort on the requestors part.

RANT.

Yesterday at work,
I had to "give" the scripts I've written, explain what they do, and when to use them.
I had documented everything, each script in a folder, each script has a Word document explaining when and how to use them.


Today at work
They don't understand when they should use them. It wouldn't be so bad except they did not even attempt to learn anything.

I asked someone who works in the cube across the hall to look at the documents.
"I could do that" is what they said to me, and they have no DNS or DHCP experence.

I'm sorry for the rant. :-(

Preach preacher!!!  I see that this website has over 14000 members.  How many people do you see everyday come in ask 1 question and never offer any help to anyone else?  Not the ones that post the script they tried but the "I need a script" or "Please Help Me" and you never see them post the answer either.  I give scripts to the people I work with but they share concepts and information with me.  I teach them and if they dont want to learn then I dont bother with them anymore.  When it says "Read Me First" maybe that is what it means.  I spent an hour reading stuff before I even started helping.

That did make me feel better!

I took a 3 days and went fishing, didn't catch anything but it sure was nice to be on a lake fishing in my canoe.

BTW never attempt to put a Golden Retriever in a conoe, they just don't get it... 8-O
