This forum is somewhat of a disappointment

I was expecting to read lively discussions on the pros and cons; differences and similarities; which is best and why we don't like other scripting languages.  However, it seems the moderators are permitting lots of questions on coding (about languages forbidden in this forum at that--at least according to the description) which should have been posted elsewhere.

For many of the people here, like and dislike is not an option. The forum is dominated by System Administrators and people brand new to programming.
As such the topics can go a bit unrelated to VBScript from time to time.  The other languages are not forbidden per se, but they are oftentimes off-topic

Languages that generally come up:

VBScript,
JScript (sometimes VBScript just can't do it alone efficiently)
JavaScript (Solution needed in a browser context)
VB.NET (rarely)
VB6 (rarely)
AutoIT (Win32 API's control is needed)

To make clear.  I wasn't talking about the entire VisualBasicScript.com forum but this form in particular (Other Programming/Scripting Languages).

Most of the posts could or should have been posted in other forums on this site.  It's difficult to find postings about other languages with many questions on how to perform a scripting function in some vb variation.

It's just that when I saw the name I expected to see high level discussions on other programming languages.  It's probably just me misunderstanding, but when I see "I need help with my script" and the script is in VB I think the question could and should have been asked in one of the other forums on this site.

The site is very good and I'm looking at some of the other forums here as well.

Anyway that's probably me just being uber anal.
