SciTE most of the time, but also Notepad++, vim, UltraEdit-32, or whatever other editor comes to hand. Even Notepad if there's nothing else.

I just use Notepad as i don't code that much and i find it easy and no hassle as its free on every computer i use and i don't have to install anything each time i use a different computer or even reformat my home pc.

I am still looking for the tool that suits me.  Just switched to Notepad++ .  I am surprised though.  Not one mention of emacs? (not that I want to start a religious war...)

As a beginner, one probably wants something with code completion and at least some limited error checking. As such an IDE along the lines of VBSEdit or Visual Studio may be appropriate, otherwise if one is confident in their VBScript-Fu, any syntax highlighting text editor is plenty.

I use two applications, vbsedit, which is unfortunately not free and notepad++.

I have been using VBSEdit since past few years. Satisfied with it.

                                I am using VBSEdit.
I was using NotePadEx and VBE only.
The ability to create an executable from a Vbscript is what I needed for years.
Now that I can, I will never go back.
Being able to pin a compiled script to the taskbar is very nice!

Notepad++ & the plugins are a must, it makes it great and its free :)

Has any one add the plugin for notepad++ called runme, allows you to run your code?
Mine works for bat cmd reg etc, but not for vbs, i the only one with that problem

Love PrimalScript, has wmi too, and for other stuff WMI Delphi Code Creator, and vs2008

I would use Advanced Script Editor if my manager was willing to pay for the Pro version so I use VBSedit as it cost less that 1/3rd and I need the convert to exe functionality.

Only thing missing for me is the ability to insert WMI calls easily, so I just have to use Microsoft ScriptoMatic and hack it from there.

I simply use Notepad++, lightweight, free, and does everything I need it to for my limited VBS work.
