I use notepad. Lately notepad has been putting errant characters into my vbscripts (I think CR) which VBS engine does not like. So I use Wordpad to fix Notepad's recent bizzare formatting.

I also sometimes use Edit, but never Edlin. Type both (followed by a /?) in a command prompt.

Edit's great feature is binary view of files (/70 on command line or a checkbox in File - Open). To insert wierd characters use Ctrl + P, Ctrl + <char to insert> (it's some old standard). To see character code look on statusbar.

    You don't need third party tools to turn vbs or js files into exe.
    See my post here.

          SCiTe - mainly because it's free and I can edit JavaScritp, HTML easily in there.

                for PowerShell, it's Powershell ISE. For VBS, it's Notepad++.

                  I've always used VBSEdit.  Other than Visual Studio, I like it best because it actually has an IDE!

                          I use GVim also.  It is a rather older version (6.4) but I like it just as it is.  I use the insert mode (type the letter I as soon as it opens) mostly unless I need to convert a Windows formatted file to a Linux formatted file.  Sorry, but all of those fancy command line commands are just too much for me.  I am totally surprised that Notepad (++ ?, not the regular, I guess) is so popular with all of the others that can at least provide syntax highlighting.

                              Notepad or Notepad++ for myself.

                              I've used UltraEdit in the past, but converted to Notepad(++) for simplicity, keeping the pwetty colors

                                 Take an array (use dynamic arrays) having odd number of storing positions.
                                Load the array with number/ alphabets ,  (it should work for all odd numbered storage)
                                Ex: A, B, C, D, E
                                Expecting output should be  B, A, C, E, D
                                a)      Middle element should not change its position
                                b)      First half should be reversed
                                c)       Second half should be reversed

                                Can you please help me in finding the correct output as i am getting  E D C B A but i want B A C E D
