convert image to a matrix form

hi guy..i'm new in this forum..istly,sory 4 my broken english..emm i was tasked to design face detection using VB6..i wonder that VB6 is capable to convert grayscale image to a matrix form..if it does,can smebody gve me a code..i also hv to cal the image file from certain dirctory...pleazee help me guy..my due date is almost coming...

emm i just finished wrote the 'capturing image' part only..i really hv no idea to proceed to the next step (cconvert image to a matrix form)..

emm wat i mean about the matrix form is a value of each pixels of an image. Every pixels has their own 'value' depend to its scale of color for exmple, 0 for white and 255 for black. in between there are plenty values of grey color. so, if 320 x 480 image can be represented by 320 X 480 matrix... tq 4 ur regard..

What ebgreen has asked is for you to show us some of what you have tried so we can get an idea of what you are doing with VBScript. If you are us in Visual Basic it is not the same as VB Script. VB is compiled VB Script is interpreted To similar but very different languages and different uses.

I have done raw image manipulation in perl but not in VBScript. You say that you have written the capture part. What form is the data in when you capture it?
