is there a way to do this hidden, so that paint doesnt come up on the screen? Also can you call something like this:?

While 1
If _IsPressed({ENTER}) = 1 Then
CreateFile
Wend

(The application is ran when someone presses the enter key). And createfile is the sendkey functions to copy, past, and save the pic???

Skip the sendkeys. Hummingbird has an object called "HostExplorer" that you can bind to and allows you to send various keys and functions to it. It is pretty versitile. If you have a full install check the help section for Hummingbird Basic. It has a macro editor built in to do this stuff, but I always just use VBS.

I deal only with 3270 text interfaces, but here are some of the baics on automating Hummingbird.

Your object is called HostExplorer
.CurrentHost refers to the current session

From there you can do anything the object methods allow. Again, check out the documentation within hummingbird.

CurrentHost.TextRC(x, y, z) - checks to see if z exists at row x column y

CurrentHost.Keys("abc") - sends the string to the application.

CurrentHost.RunCmd("Enter") - sends special keys such as PF keys and Enter, printscreen, etc to app.

The various methods available are well documented in the help files if you have a full install.
