It is faster i must admit and also more efficient for the end user, only if they use a dedicated PrintServer, or else they will have slow computers.....the Buffering will swallow RAM like crazy.....

But hey, who cares....it works....we'll make sure of that thru VBS, and we are not to blame 'bout their lousy Infrastructure...

hm... I don't see why it is faster and/or more efficient. What is it faster and/or more efficient than though ? Perhaps I missed something. Could you elaborate on that please ?

As far as I know, the undering port type doesn't change the way printing subsystem processes data; the same old procedures are/should still be used. Personally, I don't know any significant advantages TCP/IP ports have against other type of ports.

yeah, someone might want to print a document using a printer on the other side of the globe :)
Thought I could do the same thing with any kind of ports as long as I have the print permission. oh well...
