Status: offline 		i only know i can shutdown my pc by choosing "shutdown" from the start menu.any other methods?

If you want a scripting solution, just do a search on "shutdown" on this forum.

anyway..
you could make a .bat file to do it:

Status: offline 		if u run xp just type:
shutdown -s -t xx
where xx is the countdown time in seconds

if youre logged on as an administrator you can even shut down other comps on the network ;-)

type shutdown at the command prompt to see a full list of commands
