I was running the following command:

showacls /s /u:domain\user directory

All the output disappears and all I see is the tail end of it.

What could be wrong?

no buffer in your DOS prompt...... use the option " | more" (without quotes) to view the page-by-page output.

It worked fine for me. Note that when you specify a domain\user, only information regarding that user will be shown instead of all ACEs.
