Code2HTML   Version 0.6
Author: lifesinger
URL: http://lifesinger.3322.org/myblog/?p=169
Last Update: 2006-1-2

Description

This script can convert your code files to color-highlighted HTML files. It supports all the file types that supported by EmEditor. The color scheme is based on EmEditor, and the syntax files are exported directly from EmEditor. If you want the script to support more file types, you can open the file "More EmEditor - Syntax Files.lnk" in syntaxfiles folder to download more syntax files.

Usage

Just click the script and select your code file or drag a code file to this script file.

Because the script is large, so please download it from my little site: http://lifesinger.3322.org/myblog/?p=169

comments are welcome!

ps: i found this forum has some wrong in firefox, can anybody fix it?  thx.

i have a couple suggestions/comments:
  1. Try using css for the color/indenting, its much more efficient and has a smaller html file size.
  2. I've never heard of EmEditor, but it seems like a pretty good editor, are you able to get the other syntax files for free?
  3. Is it possible to use this as an ASP file?
  4. Check out geshi - http://qbnz.com/highlighter/index.php, its what i use on my site (link is below).
Excellent script, and using external syntax files was a good idea.

I use firefox on this site and dont have any problems, could you be more specific?

Thanks for your comments/suggestions:

1.Using css is a good idea. I will think about it in the next version.
2.Emeditor is a good  text editor.I'm not familiar with others. perhaps I will get some free syntax files for the script.
3.the script is a VBScript, so it's easy to use it in a ASP file, just include, and I think everything will be ok.
4.GESHI is awesome! If I know geshi before, I would not write the script. thanks for the link.

I use firefox. when I reply, the cursor disappear in the richeditor. I don't know why. perhaps it's my firefox's problem. I'm confused.

It does it on my FF too, I just start typing and the cursor reappears.
