Hey guys,

I am wondering if anyone know what is the name of the file which will copy the mappings and printer settings of users in the company.  I am working on something similar to USMT and need to know which files are responsible for settings.

Thanks

Three things:

1) This is not the correct forum for this post. It should be posted here: http://www.visualbasicscript.com/forumid_2/tt.htm

2) I would expect those settings to be in the registry not files. I don't know where they would be but you should be able to get any of the freely available registry monitoring tools and figure it out.

3) The best way to handle drive mappings and printer settings is though GPO an login scripts. Then you don't have to migrate anything and management is centralized.

Sorry if that sounds like a stupid question but i am a little confused.

Cheers

GPO is a Group Policy Object. It works with Active Directory to control the look and feel of windows for a group of users.
