I need some help. The customer I'm working with at the moment have locked down some of their machines so that you can not run any vb scripts. I need to be able to install cscript and you simply can't copy the cscript.exe in to place and run it. The problem is it keeps saying "no scripting engine for extension .vbs". Is there any way I can repair this, i.e. re-install scriping host on machines? Is there a way I can run cscipt as a test to see if the script engine registration has been removed, i.e. just try cscript //E: <engine name> ?? What is the correct script engine for .vbs? I can't find any information for this

Are they going to want you to defeat their security? You should easily be able to get an instller for the WSH from microsoft. Google should be able to help in this regard.

Status: offline 		No, absolutely not... It's an old problem they're left with from a previous lock down build.
