I have a script that I downloaded from a page and it says that it is powered by you.  The problem is it doesn't want to work.  It is suppose to be a form where someone can refer their friend to view a site.  Here is the link:  http://www.darkness2light.org/JointheFight/Thursday/default.asp Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What doesn't work? What does it do wrong? Are there errors? What are the errors? What is the actual code that you are running?

It  goes through the action of submiting the page but the email never gets delivered.  So it looks like it works but doesn't.  It doesn't actually give any errors.  There are actually two pages involved.  http://www.darkness2light.org/JointheFight/Thursday/default.asp

and then this page  http://www.darkness2light.org/JointheFight/Thursday/tellafriend1.asp

I don't see anything glaring, but I didn't look terribly thotoughly. Can you set this up in a test environment. If you can then I would do so and put in some debugging to be sure that the script is running the way you want. You could for instance use the alert function to verify that the script is trying to send the email at all and see what addresses it is using. I am not a great ASP person so hopefully one of them will wander along shortly with more help.

BTW, where did you get the code from?

EBGreen:  the code originates from http://www.darkness2light.org/JointheFight/Thursday/default.asp

The code/page was created by Andy Zain, which is the admin here on VisualBasicScript.com. The mail not being able to be sent, can also be as simple as a server issue...it happens more often...

Aaah...that makes more sense. For some reason from the OP I got the impression that it had been found on this site and copied over but I could not find the code in any of the fora. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

Sorry if I was confusing...i really just want to get it to work so people can use it on the site.  So are you saying that it is a server issue?  The code is ok? or if you know of a code that does the same thing that works it would be greatly appreciated.  ^_^
