I'm very new in HTA, I'm working in a school where we would like that every students must accept an IT policy before they can login on computers. We used a papper form before but it doesn't work with 2500 students, and after one year it is tottaly impossible to know who has signing or not!
I would like to make it digital instead, show an HTA windows during the first login, where they can read the school policy and then should accept it to continue, otherwise they will logg off. I would like to keep a track as a log in a text file or an access database.

Any help will be welcome.

Status: offline 		Instead of using an HTA to display your message, and giving the individual a choice of accepting it or not, why don't you just use the Security Option for "Interactive Logon"?

This is what most business' use at the beginning of the logon process.
As soon as you hit "CTRL + ALT + DELETE" the message is displayed to the user. They are only given the option to click OK, but if they don't agree then they don't login. If they login, they are agreeing to the policy.

No logging is required in this process since they agree to the policy if they decide to login.

This is located in the Administrative Tools, Local Security Settings, Security Options, Interactive Logon: Message text for users attempting to log on.

Status: online 		I agree that interactive login is the best solution. The only downside is that you see it every time. With the HTA, you could make it only show once.
