I can not use the yahoo messenger because it is asking me to " instal on demand" visual basic script support. And it s not installing it when i click on it. The messenger is the beta version of yahoo messenger and my OS is W98.
Please help me!! Im very frustated that i couldnt solve this!

Have you tried to install WSH 5.6 from the download available at Microsoft? That may work better rather than attempting to do it while online. Just google for "windows script" win98

It should be one of the first sites referenced. (I tried posting a link here but it's wider than the screen and didn't "look like" a link so I deleted it).

Thanks for your answer. yesterday, after posting i could do it by searching for script support, and not for "VB scripting support", like yahoo demanded, wich didnt gave me any support for download. I feel dumb now, that i had to post for such a stupid thing.

its not a dumb question...win98 does not include native support for scripting. Since its a beta of yahoo messenger, they probably haven't built in the scripting support for legacy OS's (yet). One would hope they would include that in their final release, but you never know. Everyone's trying to leave win98 behind. And I question why a messenger service would need scripting support. sounds potentially dangerous to me.
