I need to install an update on the computers here and thought of doing it via group policies and its startup scripts.
the vbs worked fine when running it from its UNC path like dc\netlogon\script\update.vbs
but with the gpo it's returning a lot of errors when I want to write some logging information although the folder is set to everyone full control.
Does anyone know what this is all about or what is causing it?
thought it could be an unc path problem but trying to map the path to a drive letter doesn't work either as I'm getting some sort of "user is trying to create multiple connections to server" and putting a removenetworkdrive before it results in a "network drive doesn't exist error"
Edit: it seems that I can read out a file in that folder without any problems, when I do an open for append it gives access denied errors

Sorted it out myself, the server was a Win2003 box, and the netlogon share didn't have that everyone full control right on the SHARE SECURITY, it's not smart to change it so I created a new folder, shared it, gave everyone full control on the share and folder security.
