I am new to HTA and Vbscript.
I am trying to peice together some code that will perform an uninstall. I am using code that will go into the uninstall of the reg and pull out the uninstallstring. The problem is that I want this to be a silent thing. When it pulls the string, it has "msiexec.exe /i" and I want it to be "msiexec.exe /x". I am attempting to change this portion of the string using:

Right(variablel,len(variable)-10)

The strUninstall = msiexec.exe /i{00000000000000000000} before I start. How can I change the /i to an /x?

Good thing about easy questions, they are easy to answer.

strUninstall = Replace(strUninstall, "/i", "/x")

strUninstall = (Replace(strUninstall,"/i","/x"))

Give that a try.

I'm happy to help here with specific problems, but I would not feel comfortable committing to a project as a whole just because of other time committments that I have.
