I'm sure all of you have noticed that the new Microsoft Office 2007 uses an xml format as the default such as .docx. However, I would like to set Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint to their 2000,20003 defaults because 99% of people in my company don't use the new formats. So when I build a new PC for a user I want to run this script to change the defaults. Any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend doing this via a GPO instead.

Download Office 2007 ADM files from here and make a GPO wich sets the value. Better and easier to change back once all of your organisation is up on Office 2007 and you want to start utilizing the new format.
