Have you ever written a cool script and then some nob renames it and uses it for himself?

It has not happened to me but I guess it could?

Add this code to throw a spanner in their works.

Yea that Script Encoder is pretty cool, it would stump most people, i.e. most people except some like me that have a cool script up their sleeves that can do a quick decode on the fly. [BRAG] I Haven't exhausted the possibilities of being able to actually encrypt a script yet. The closest I got was a little program called vbs2exe.

Here is a more brutal version of the don’t rename me script in HTA. It checks path and file name and if violation detected, deletes script.

Copy below code and paste into file called c:\scripts\test.hta Try moving or renaming it and run it again.

Or you can do something like this.

This is not my work, but something someone posted here a while ago in response to someone's "please write my homework for me" post.  All it does it give you a couple input boxes and then a msgbox.
