Hello,

This script i made for my work. I am an dutch person on an international helpdesk.

Every call we receive has to be registred in englisch. sometimes i quickly need a word, and starting internet is to cumbersome.

So i wrote to scripts that are easy to modify (please look at translate.google.com url's)

From dutch to englisch:

No; we don't have software for that. our company is too international for that.

If i put this thingie in my quicklaunch its even quicker though

Thanks for sharing that djredmar, screen scrapes makes your script very powerful.

Here is a HTA version of ytour script, create a file on your computer called E2D.HTA and paste the following code into it.

Hi djredmar,

I like your script so much I had a play with it, added a \s to the regular expression so that it would return a translation for an entire phase instead of just one word. Google does not as good a translation as Babelfish so I changed that as well.

Version1 of the HTA I literally knocked up in 10minutes using your code, Notepad and Helpomatic. Here is an improved version using bigger text boxes, Babelfish etc. It still has a bit of duplication in the subs but it seems to work good.

Thanks for your comments!

I am not that great with regular expressions, but i understand what you are saying.

I used babelfish before; but i kinda not like that site; many translations are not found... i guess if i am at work and have to much time i will create an version which retreives both

HTA is nice stuff; but than i can open inet explorer as well... though i gonna take a look at your script.
