This has been posted before in various incarnations as answers to various questions.
So, I am posting it here for completeness and searchability.

This function dumps the registry to a text file, reads it into an array, and searches each element for the string you are searching for.
It then returns the results as a string.
It can take up to 30 seconds to perform the search on older machines.  Longer, if your username is Fredledingue.

Hi,

The Code looks good , and resembles much of my requirement but i also need some more changes with your help.

In the change i would like to search for a value (like IP) in all the registry keys and if found whcih matches my search string i would like to change the value of the key with some other value (Returned by another function).Can you please let me know if we have any sample script that can search and resets the registry value.
