Is it possible to kill open handles vs the pid. for example you can use sysinternals processexplorer for lets say netbackup vsp files. There isn't a a pid to kill just the actual handles? It can be done manually with the sysinternals tool but a vbscript if possilbe would be nicer.

Are you familiar with WBEMTest.exe which comes with windows or WMICodeCreator.exe which you can download for free? Either of these tools would let you easily explore WMI. If you are going to be able to script this it will be via WMI, so poke around in the classes and see if it can be done.
