I just stumbled across this and thought you all would like to take a peek.
The author of VbsEdit has released HtaEdit. http://www.vbsedit.com/news.asp
I found a bug immediately. It won't open or create new files from the menu (At least it doesn't for me), but the context menu "Edit with HtaEdit" works.

I get the error as well. The object browser while a nice touch, is very limited too.

Well, there aren't too many "downloadable" HTA editors out there, so I figured I'd mention it.
You can do customization on many like SCITE, or Crimson ..... but very few straight outta the box HTA editors.

I reported the error to the email on the support page.

You are aware of the script editor that gets installed with office right? It will let you do HTAs and it includes a WYSIWYG editor to add the HTML components as well. I rarely use it because it has foibles as well.
