First of all, i'd like to thank everyone who has helped me in the past. I've all been a big help.

Here is my question.

Using sendkeys, or something similar, is there a way to have the computer click on a specific icon in a location based on the name. I'd rather not have to do {DOWN} {LEFT}...etc over and over again.

Also, how do you grab the focus of a window?

Anything that requires clicking or selecting specific buttons...it is best if you use something like AutoIt.

I was afraid of that. i know it's a good program but it requires an installation of its runtimes.

Oh btw, does anyone know if it is possible to disable mouse clicks for the length of a script?

Actually, you can compile the AutoIt script into its own .exe which can run on its own.

And even if you didn't want to compile the script, you can still launch the Au3 file with the runtimes.  Just need to make the file association.
