Status: offline 		Due to a policy change, the Display Naming convention of our Exchange email users was standardised to ' Lastname, Firstname '. Prior to this standardisation, there did exist quite a bit of non-standardised display names using the format 'Firstname, Lastname'.

Now when a user tries listing / sorting emails by a particular user within his MS Outlook 2003/2007 client, s/he sees that particular users emails listed /grouped alphabetically at two different places depending upon the changed format. So for a user, some of his emails are grouped together in the order 'A, Z' and others are listed somewhere far below in the listing under 'Z,A'.

I was wondering, if I can create a Wsh or a vbscript  that would list users email at the same place in the 'Sort by:From' option if the lastname or firstname matches within the Display Name fields?

Status: offline 		I understand your problem, but I don't believe there is a solution. If you sort alphabetically by name, that is what you sort by.
