This is a little off-topic so I apologise.

We have an Oracle product here (*spit*) that uses VBA macros to do certain things.  The problem is that if the user is not, at the very least, a Power User they get an "ActiveX component can't create object" error.

Now, obviously, the VBA macro is trying to instantiate an ActiveX object and can't because of insufficient rights.  However, we can't get to the macros because the VBA code is password protected.

So, the puzzle is, how do we find out what ActiveX object it's trying to instantiate?  Are there any tools out there you know of that can tell us this information?

At the moment, our only option is buying a VBA password cracker!!

Have you tried to run the macro with either Regmon or Filemon running?

You could try to brute force the password:

Or

I'm not sure on version differences but one of the two may work.
