Hi All,

Iam trying to update the revision number field in Summary properties for a file. Iam using the dsofile.dll property to read and write the properties. Till now, iam able to read/ write title, subject, author, category, except for revision number.

Please guide me in updating this field. Its pretty urgent.
If not dsofile.dll property, any alternative also would be appreciated.

Status: offline 		I am not familiar with that type of file. 

Maybe dsofile.dll does not support modifying the revision number on that type of file.  Have you read this article: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/resources/tales/sg0305.mspx
It tells you that not all documents support all the properties and you might be able to create your own custom one if that would be an acceptable alternative for you.

I could not succeed modifying revision number for a word document also. May be as you said the property is defined read-only. I will look into other options.

I have one more query. I had a problem in retrieving the source field also.

I will appreciate the solution suggested.
