Hi All,

I have two questions related to parse the string.

1.

Claim Status        Transaction ID

DEFERRED           41002360878

and

Status: Approved            Transaction ID:41002374447

Question1. I want to write only one line of the code and want to get first three character of the status in both cases , Like APP, DEF......etc.
Please check what i did but i know there will be better solution for this problem

2.

Disp: 1           Helped Plan Cd:

and

Claim Disposition 9-DENIED  'DENIED is dynamic here other possible values are ADJUSTMENT, VOID stc...

Question2:

How can i get Disposition code here which is 1 and 9 in these example.

Thanks,
Shahid

Have you considered using a regular expression?  Should should be able to find examples here by searching

RegExp or VBScript.RegExp
