I have a text file with lot of line ...

in that i have to search a for a given word and find that line number from that i have to read the lines from that point .
please help me in this regard.
or any refrences

Do you have a script yet? If so...post and advise what is not working. If no script...you will want to do research on the below:

- opening a text file for reading purpose
- using the "Instr" function
- using the ".line" function of an object
- opening a text file for writing purpose and for appending purpose
- writing text to a file
