Hi, My name is Jon and I have a computer lab that has 20 computers with 2 servers. Now I would like to get a script that can change the computer name from the server. I wanted to kno if there is an automated one that changes the computer name from like Networking to STudent1 throught 20 automatically on each computer. If not I dont care. I just want to be able to change the computer name to each computer from the server. Even if i have to change the computer name 20 times or make 20 different scripts with different numbers it doesnt matter. I just do not want to go to the computer and do it one by one.

thanks

Are they part of a domain?  Search for WMI and the Win32_ComputerSystem class....there are plenty of examples.

It may be a good time to learn something new and automating things really helps simplify your life in the long run....wish I had picked it up sooner.
