It depends on what program you are using to make the "exe". There are a very large amount of false .exe's out there that just make self extracting ZIP files that run in a temporary folder and obfuscated in order to "hide" and "protect" your vbscript. They are true compiler's and are not true exe's for the most part. You may want to look into the efforts here: http://www.vbs2exe.com/ Down side is that you don't have direct calls to WScript anymore, you have to take an extra step. Why do you want/need an exe?
