Any ideas on how to change the icon of the .exe?

its possible....

I used a program once to modify the systray icon of an Exe.

It was only a trial version and as such didnt have all the options.

I think this program will do what you need : http://angusj.com/resourcehacker/ (its not the same one i used tho)

It depends on what program you are using to make the "exe". There are a very large amount of false .exe's out there that just make self extracting ZIP files that run in a temporary folder and obfuscated in order to "hide" and "protect" your vbscript. They are true compiler's and are not true exe's for the most part.

You may want to look into the efforts here: http://www.vbs2exe.com/

Down side is that you don't have direct calls to WScript anymore, you have to take an extra step.
