I have an access database with a field that is 12 character long (alphaNumeric).

I have Loaded this into a drop doen box and have posted the value selected via a form to an asp page.

When I interogate the variable I see that it is only (say) 1 character long.

I need to Left pad the start of the variable with blanks until is it 12 characters long.

Can anyine help.
